SHAWANDA BARNES

Author, Speaker, Transformational Leader, Shawanda Barnes, is passionate about working with individuals and organizations to become focused on accomplishing their mission. To her, nothing is impossible if it is done with God’s unwavering love. She continues to seek opportunities to teach others about God’s love particularly those forgotten who seem forgotten by society. Shawanda recently published a book, Shedding Tears, which details the journey of how God transformed her from a life of brokenness to being filled with faith.

 

Shawanda earned her Associate Degree in Human Services Technology and Substance Abuse Certificate from Edgecombe Community College. Shawanda then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Organization Administration with concentrations in Organizational Development and Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina Wesleyan College. ​

Shawanda is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Her passion for seeing others set free has also led her to becoming an Inner Healing and Deliverance Coach through Destiny Training Academy. ​

Shawanda’s story is one that will transcend souls to seek truth with power. Her straightforward approach, coupled with her love for people and God’s Word, has made her a well sought-after voice for helping to transform the lives of others.
